DEŠPALJ SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Besides the basic work - schooling of the young talented violinists and cellists - the school organizes different other programmes in order to create for its pupils as much chances for public exposure and performing experience as possible. The project STRINGS ONLY! is the most important of them. It encompasses master courses and the Festival of Young String Players in Zadar, enabling talented children to receive tuition from professors of international reputation as well as to interact with already accomplished young string players at the treshold of their professional careers. In collaboration with Croatian institute of music the school also organizes series of Coffee Concerts, Sunday matinees in which the most advanced pupils also take part.

Dešpalj
School of Music is a private music school for exceptionally gifted
children. It was founded in 1996 by eminent Croatian artists and
teachers, violinist Maja Dešpalj-Begovic and cellist Valter Dešpalj.
The classes take place at the venues of Matica Hrvatska (Matrix
Croatia) in Zagreb. The number of pupils is limited because of exclusive
character of the school. Over the years they have been very successful
performing publicly and achiving excellent results in competitions
in the country and abroad.
